To avoid tarnishing, we recommend keeping your jewelry dry. That means avoiding contact with chlorine, soaps, lotions, perfumes, hand sanitizers, cosmetics or cleaning products.
We recommend storing your pieces in a soft cloth, protected from other items in your jewelry box or tray to avoid scratching. To clean, simply dip a lint-free, soft cloth in a warm bath of mild soapy water and gently rub. After you have cleaned, simply dry with a lint-free, soft cloth.
Our goal is to make jewelry that is fun, meaningful, stylish and made of quality materials that will last.
All of our earrings, rings, studs, and charms are cast in recycled sterling silver. Our gold is 18k gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may). Vermeil is a process of plating at least 2.5 microns of gold over solid sterling silver.
Our chains are all recycled sterling silver or gold filled and made in the USA.
We assemble, package and ship all of our jewelry from our studio in Half Moon Bay, California.
Gold vermeil (ver-may) is a great option for customers who want high-quality jewelry that has the look and feel of solid gold, but at a more affordable price point. Here are a few reasons to choose gold vermeil over other plated options:
It looks like solid gold: Gold vermeil jewelry is made by coating a base metal (usually sterling silver) with a layer of gold. The gold layer is much thicker than gold plating, which means that the jewelry has the same look and feel as solid gold. This makes it an attractive option for customers who want the luxury look of gold without the high price tag.
It's durable: Gold vermeil jewelry is more durable than gold-plated jewelry because of its thicker gold layer. It's also more resistant to tarnishing and wear, which means it can last for years with proper care.
It's hypoallergenic: Many people are allergic to nickel, which is commonly used as a base metal in jewelry. Gold vermeil jewelry, on the other hand, made with sterling silver, which is hypoallergenic and less likely to cause an allergic reaction.
