Waste not

We love using sterling silver in all of our designs for 2 main reasons.

First, silver is a precious metal that is hypoallergenic, it won’t cause allergies or reactions. We don’t use nickel or brass in any of our jewelry.

Second, most of the silver we use is from recycled sources. Our brand new sterling styles are made from silver products that have been melted down, and made into new jewelry, eliminating the need to mine more silver.

Our gold styles are also recycled! Our gold styles are cast in recycled sterling silver, and plated with 2.5 microns of 18k gold. Also known as vermeil.

Our chains are also produced with recycled sterling silver and gold filled.

In our Half Moon Bay studio, we collect scraps of sterling silver and gold-filled, then we send it off to a refiner to be melted and refined for new pieces.

Using recycled metals in our designs and recycling the metal we use in the studio, is our way of contributing to a more sustainable jewelry industry. We are committed to continuing to source our materials in the most sustainable ways we can.

Happy Shopping!
