Holy Guacamole

Tomorrow is 16 de Septiembre (Mexican Independence Day)
AND National Guacamole Day,  but it’s the weekend so we are pregaming.

Our southern neighbors have enriched American culture and the world with their beautiful people, culture and traditions.  There are obvious ones like guacamole, tequila and tortillas. But there is a long list of things most people don’t realize came from Mexico.  To name a few: chewing gum (chicle), popcorn (momochtli), the birth control pill, Cesar salad, and chocolate (first discovered in the mesoamerican period.)   The list goes on.
