if you did not catch the olympic opening ceremony on TV, you can watch online here.
It is rather spectacular and worth watching, even if you are not into watching any of the events. Apparently China’s most famous film director, Zhang Yimou, spent three years preparing for the Opening Ceremony. It will be difficult to top!
