It is rather spectacular and worth watching, even if you are not into watching any of the events. Apparently China’s most famous film director, Zhang Yimou, spent three years preparing for the Opening Ceremony. It will be difficult to top!

At first I didn’t really get it but now I am obsessed with polyvore.com! Polyvore lets you mix and match images from anywhere on the web, to create outfits, interior designs, or any kind of collage. It’s a great way to pass the time and get creative. And if you are not in the creative mood, you can simply gaze at other people’s creations.
If you spot something you like in a collage, you can use it in your own collage or find it for sale online.
They recently ran a contest to create collages as a tribute to the late Yves St. Lawrence. Have a look.
